I've got my new system ordered execpt for the Power Supply. I've narrowed my choices to the OCZ GameXStream, and the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 EPS12V. I want to get a really good power supply that could support two 7950GX2 video cards. The most I want to spend is around $200 on it. Below is my systems specs, just keep in mind that I will be adding another 400gb hard drive later and maybe a video card.

Power Supplies

OCZ GameXStream 700W

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 EPS12V

Computer Specs

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Dlx
2GB Corsair XMS PC6400 C4
eVGA 7950GX2 1GB
Seagate 7200.10 400GB SATA
WD SE16 400GG SATA
Plextor 16X DVD-RW SATA
LiteOn 16X DVD-ROM
SB X-Fi XtremeMusic
SilverStone TJ03 Case w/4fans

Either will work fine, there is a price difference, the PC P&C is about $200 & the OCZ can often be had for about $130.

I'm not sure which is better. Was this helpful enough? heheehhe....ok seriously though.
I have an OCZ 600 power supply that can power 2 7900 GTXs so I'm definitely sure the 700w version could power the 7950s with no problem. As for the other brand, I know it's a decent PSU, but I don't know that much about them.
Personally, I would recommend the OCZ. Good luck with your system.

120 bux after rebate... WELL worth the price.
Also, I read some reviews of it and there are people running 2 7950GTXs in SLI so you'll be just fine with it.

The other PSU is 200 bux on newegg.

Again I don't know that much about this PSU, but it would be VERY difficult to convince me that the price difference would make it worth the money...

The OCZ GXS is by far the "Best Bang for the Buck".

If money is no object the PC P&C 750 probably is the better unit.

Ever consider the Thermaltake Toughpower 750W? Corsair HX620W? With 600W @ 12V rail.

Picked up a Seasonic M12 700W from Fry's tonight for $189 (Newegg lists it at $209) and am liking it very much so far. Very quiet and cool running. Build quality seems excellent, sleeving is top notch. You might want to look into one of these.

in terms of the future requirement, the multi-rail PSUs migt start to pose a few problems. So the safer choice would be to go with the single railed, pc power and cooling 750W Silencer.

What problems will come with mutiple railed PSUs?
