ANTEC SUPER LANBOY

I'd go for choice B.

- Handles are nice especially if you ever move your case around.
- It has a clean, solid, and straight finish with nice scheme (subjective).
- I'm not a light and window fan.
- I don't like messing with a door to get to my buttons and CDROM.
- I would strongly reccomend which ever one you think will cool your components most efficiently. This is always more important than asthetics, but don't disregaurd build quality or you will have problems with both sound/vibration and difficult installation.

1st is weird
2nd ugly
3rd better than the 2nd but ugly
4th nice case, do you need the wheels?
5th great case

I choose the Antec Super Lanboy, why?

- If you want handles, well Super lanboy comes with transportation strap, much easier to transpot
- Well made, solid, vety light
- Good ventilation, 120mm in front and back
- Good window, so you dont need to mess around to do one
- Door in the front so no worries if the drives are grey, black or Beige
- well its really your choice, i am just heping

There is only one choice from the cases you displayed: it's the Lian Li.
If you don't actually have the money for it, the Super Lanboy is the next choice.
The Linkworld is a plastic Apple clone with some real crappy specs. It is probably the worst of the cases.

agreed. that lian li is by far the best case of that bunch, with the lanboy second.

If you want something stronger and roomier than the LANBoy look at the P160, it's only a couple bucks more right and can be found for even less when there's good deals. At least that's what I'm getting once the price comes down again (cause I'm a cheapscape :p).

first two ugly. 3 good looking (i've allways wanted to steal an apple case) 4 awesome case. 5 never liked it never will. My fav. choice is a coolermaster wave master or a tsunami thermaltake (just about the most ungaudy thing they ever did) cough demier.

Is it just me or is that nothing more than an ulgy copy of a Apple G4 Case?

You can't go wrong with this bad boy!

I consider the first three to be more in the cheese category and probably won't stand up to the test of time.

The super LANBoy is pretty sweet. I've got one, and you can certainly do a lot with it.

But I like the Lian Li v1200 as well. If I were to pick a top choice it would be that one just cause I'm tired of looking at the lanboy ;) Without the wheels (and the stupid floppy drive in the picture).. that would make a very nice , clean, minimal looking box.. Perhaps you could repaint it with a nice annodized finish... hmmmmm

Both cases look like copies of Apple G5, I guess the wheels and the Lian-Li badge makes it look better? :)

One is mostly plastic and the other is milled and cast aluminum.

When choosing a case you must ask yourself 2 questions before buying.

1. What will I be using the system for?
If it's just email, then any old beige case will do. If, however, you're gonna be loading it up with all the latest and greatest, lots of drives & such, then you might wana consider a larger tower, which leads us to question 2.

2. Where will it be sitting for the next few months/years?
If it's going to be under a desk, a small to low mid-tower should be ok, or if it will be an HTPC, then a desktop model fills that niche. Or if this will be a server or gaming rig, bigger is better.

I prefer the:

mATX/desktop HTPC: AthenaTech
Mid tower: Antec
Fulltower: Coolermaster CMStacker

Hope ya find one!

Wavemaster is nice, but doesnt have a whole lot of intake airflow.

Search is over? What is that case? There's alot more to picking a case than it being shiny and low priced (I'm assuming here since I've never seen it)

Alrighty. It seems that the Soldam Altium Alcadia X-1 case is impossible to purchase unless you live in Japan. They will not export the item to foreign countries. So I went ahead and placed my order for the Lian-Li today.
