I need some help with a new pc.

I decided to buy an amd A64 3000+ venice, radeon x800xl (pci-e), 1gb of ram, audigy 2zs

Now i need some help on the motherboard. which chipset, which brand
The board needs to be stable, good for OC-ing (pci lock..), raid, and again stable.

What type of ram to buy so it won't hold back my OC and do I need ram that comes in pairs to be able to do dual chanel?

How powerful power supply? Which brand?

What cooler for cpu? efective and silent. How is with warranty if I buy CPU without cooler (not boxed)?

..and any other things that I should be aware of? (especially when overclocking)

ps: any grammatical corrections are also welcome, because I know my english is bad. :)

Motherboard: Can't go wrong with an Msi K8n Neo Sli Platinum, supports 4gig of ram, lots of SATA ports (8 iirc), 8 usb ports with room to add more, basically a perfect motherboard.

So good in the motherboard section it has it's own sticky ;)

For cooling; Xp-90c, really good cooler. Even better than the Xp 120.

If you buy an OEM cooler you don't get warrantys iirc.

Bad ass Sound Card! Good Mobo, I would consider the 3200+ Venice instead of the 3000+ but if not its all good. For the power supply, I would go with at least 400-450W, OCZ Powerstream or Modstream are good IMHO, or an Antec Smartpower 2.0 or FSP Foltron source..All good choices. for Ram get like 1GB (2x512) of TwinMOS DDR400 there good and not very expensve....Your motherboard is a good choice, but the DFI boards tend to OC better....

What's the difference between MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum and K8N SLI Platinum? (beside SLI)

Will MSI motherboard hold back my OC?
