I recently purchased a CM Stacker (not the 810 or 830... the other, older/cheaper one :p) so i could have room to put my dual h20 loops in... and then i wanted to go to a lan. i realized, that this, due to this curse known as "gravity", is impossible. I want to do some kind of a mod (good looking, please :D) that would enable me to easily(er) carry my stacker from point a to point b (and down stairs).

I was considering getting 2 tubes and putting fins on them as a sort of heat spreader device, mounting them on top as handles, and running water from my watercooling thru them. thus, cooling my h20 more, and making useful handles....

i decided to come to the pros here at [H] to ask for help, and hopefully more refined suggestions...

the h2o handles are a good idea but you're putting the pressure of the whole system on the waterblock/radiator connection the tubes are hooked up to, essentially meaning...

*snap*
*crash*
*glug glug glug*

components soaked, case dented.

it's a nice thought, but i really don't think it'd work.

The handle idea sounds really cool, but like furi.kuri said, it does have a lot of risks. My main concern would be keeping all the pressure off the tubes while making there be adequate contact with the handle for it to act as a heatsink. It would be hard, but it is possible. You could even make a hollow handle and just run liquid from the loop through it (kind of like a waterblock, you would have to make 2 internal barbs for it to mount on for each handle, then hook the loop to each end of it).

A friend of mine has a stacker and he built a cart for it out of wood. It has wheels and everything. Maybe you could consider something like that for your case...
