Plan on overclocking and am thinking of getting 1 Gig Corsair XMS 4000 Pro or 1 Gig of Corsair XMS 3200 LL Pro. Which do you recomend and why? Thanks for all your input:)

Plan on using this vid card, Hercules 3d Prophet 9800 Pro , with xp pro also.

no, definetly get mushkin pc3500 lvl2 black with that chip. DONT get the pc4000, you will never reach the memory's speed with that 2.8c and that memory cant run tight timings at all. With the mushkin, you will get 2-2-2-5 timings and it will take you as high as you wanna go with that chip. Plus...

Definetly don't get pc4000 with that chip unless you are going to use a prometia.

Or you could get any bh-5 based module (the chips mushkin uses) but currently mushkin lvl2 black is the only guaranteed source of it on the market. Plus, on my 2.4c, my mushkin running at stock gets 6000mb/s in sandra with 2-2-2-5 which beats the pc4000 by over 300mb/s.

I agree EXACTLY with what he said...I wanted to get that same memory at first becuase of LED light, but really to tell you the truth it kinda sucks ( I have read and heard ). I have not tried them, but I do believe you will get a lot better results out of the Mushkin 3500 Level 2 memory.

any suggestions on where to get guranteed muskin 3500 Lvl 2 Black with bh-5 at, didnt they stop producing them?

Mushkin has run out of BH-5 chips but if you order from Newegg now you will get the ones with BH-5 chips because they still have them in stock.

I really dont know why people spend so much money on PC4000+ when it can't give you any more performance then PC3200 and PC3500.

I love my 1 gig Buffalo PC3700 ram. Its running at 426mhz right now and the only program that ever crashes is BF1942, but again bf1942 has never been stable on any system :/

Im running the ram at 2.9V on a 2.4C @ 3.2Ghz very stable, :D

Have you done much testing with Memtest86? I know MaximumPC showed Buffalo memory not performing very well because of its errors. If its not error-free at the speed its running then its not good. They used Ultra-X or some kind of memory testing software you have to purshase.
