Looking at picking up a Z97 Pro from Asus and going M.2 for storage. What all do I need to make it work? Can I use the slot on the mobo and install it there and be ready to load the OS to it? Who makes good M.2 storage? I have been out of the game a while and just learned about these drives....
 
I am reading now the Asus z97 board only has x2 lanes and I need x4 to get full benefit.. So X99 or the Asrock X97 that has x4 lanes?
 
Are there any other Z97 boards with M.2 x4 support other than the Asrock?
