Help finding a SCSI controller please!

I have 2 36 gig ultra160 15K drives my company gave to me after they upgraded. Im looking for a 32bit pci controller that has RAID 0 option. Does this exist? If so... where can I get it and who makes it? Im trying to set this up in my desktop.
 
Not sure if that card is 32bit/33mhz PCI compatable or not.. doesnt say .. just says half length.. this is becoming harder to find then I thought.
 
it will not be easy to find a card that does software raid. It is not a really desirable feature to the people that purchase scsi drives.

I know some of the newer adaptec U320 cards are capable of doing software raid.

That mylex card is most likely the best bet and the cheapest solution outside of finding something used on ebay.


edit: All 64bit/66 mhz card should be fully back compatible with a 32bit/33mhz slot. You just lose the faster transfer speed they are capable of.
 
I have the card UICompE02 linked to, awesome card. You can find it much cheaper if you don't need the cable/terminator.
 
I've got a 64-bit, 66MHz dual channel LSI logic Ultra 320 card with Raid-0 and Raid-1 support. It was around $130-140 off newegg. Granted it's 64-bit, but like most 64-bit cards it'll work in a 32/33 slot. The catch is it takes forever to initialize. No clue why it takes so long. Grrr.
I'd try those drives independantly before raiding them, particularly when attached to a 32/33 slot. In raid-0 they may well saturate the PCI bus. So your transfer rate may end up crippled while raid-0 ruins that glorious 15k rpm access time.

Well, having had to deal with that myself quite a bit, I can tell you exactly why it's taking so long. Before you see the BIOS scanning the bus and listing all the attached devices, the RAID firmware goes out, scans the bus, spins up all the drives, then searches for specific metadata stored on the drives that would identify it as part of a RAID volume. So, in effect, it has to scan all 16 devices on both channels (if it's a dual channel controller -- otherwise it's just once) twice.
