and i need to know fast

No, for the love of god man don't do it!

Seasonic
OCZ
Silverstone
Antec
PCP&C
Enermax (Liberty)
Fortron/Sparkle
Zippy
Tagan

I'd recommend most SLi ready PSU's from any of those brands. Just don't use a PSU just because it's cheap. It may have the connectors, but it doesn't have the powah!

NO. What is the system and pricepoint we are working with?

Sky Hawk/Eagle Tech is Deer

widely considered the worse most deceptive manufacturer out there
in all fairness, they are simply misapplied supplies with a really cheap design
unfortunately combining those two inapproriately in the hands of an end user often fries boards

No. Typically, yes. But not that model.

Skyhawk suffers the Raidmax syndrome... and like Raidmax, I doubt their reputation will ever recover. ;)

I know that unit. The name of the company that actually makes it escapes me right now, but it's actually a good power supply. I need to find my notes from when I load tested one a few months ago, but I remember that it can hold 20A on the 12V rail for hours on end... I was VERY surprised.

The problem with it is that it only can do 20A on the (single) 12V rail... which is certainly reason enough to avoid it if you're doing SLI. But if you were doing a Socket A or even any machine with an AGP card or even a lower power PCI-e, I'd say it's Ok, especially for that cheap of a price.

But you DO NOT want to use ANY PSU with only 20A on the 12V rail for an SLI rig. If money is an issue, I'm sorry... but you're going to have to up that budget to at least $80 if you're doing SLI. Look for something with at least 32A (384W) on the single or combined (not 12V1 + 12V2) 12V rails.

get the S12-600 Seasonic it's SLI ready and dual processor capable and is 80% effeciency tested. PLUS 3 year warranty.
