help ati drivers wont install

Ok just got the new rig installed with windows and cant get the ati drivers to install. They are saying that I need to install standard vga adaptor drivers first before I can install the catalyst drivers. I have a x850xtpe and a msi nforce4ultra mainboard. Any ideas?
 
kind of odd, I tried to install catalyst 5.1, the omega drivers and none of those would work, but when I downloaded 5.2 from connect3d everything went fine and now I am rockin in my new pc.
