My CD-rom is fucked up and im pissed. It will recognize that there is a disc in it but when I open the drive there is no info and the disc is empty and it says the disc is blank.

Happens with audio cds and game cds.

it is a Samsung I have never had problems with it before.

I am having a [H]ard time understanding your symptoms. Can you clarify by possibly explaining in more detail? From what I read, your computer recognizes the CD but when you eject the disc from the drive all the information is erased from the disk? If so that i uber [H]ard
 
No, i recognizes that I have a disc, but it shows no information for the disc, the disc is just blank when I look at in in the D drive.
 
Have you done ANYTHING to your machine lately? Install software ... hardware...anything?

Can you give as details system specs as possible?

This is a longshot but Take everything out of your cd drive and reboot....

LMFAO it worked, took out the cd rebooted and it works

samew thing happens with my roller coaster tycoon 1 game. the cd is in the drive and comp knows it, double click drive, empty folder! w00000.

Just a lil update. Its workign fine, havent had a problem with it.

It didnt help with CS tho. Lost our match 30-0 ouch
