First of, any help is greatly appreciated. I'm running an AMD Athlon XP2500 and I have it OC'd slightly at 11x185. Now I don't know what people are using to measure their temps now days but I'm running MBM, latest version, and I've got two things displaying my CPU temperature, I don't know which one to trust, one reads around 43C at itdle and the other 53C at idle. On load the first goes up to about 50C and the second one all the way up to 70C...I need some help.
BTW, I've got decent cooling in my case, right now the ceonsor inside shows 82F and my CPU is cooled with an SLK-800 and 80mm fan. I'm thinking either way my temps are a little too hot for that heatsink, anyone have any suggestions on which temperature I should trust? Whether it's too high or not? How much more can I OC safely? And should I try reaplying my heatsink with new thermal paste cause I haven't done that in a long time...thnx
