Heatsink Weight Question

I recently purchased a Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu off the trading section for my Athlon 2500. I was wondering if the weight of it would easily snap the cpu off the motherboard or crack the chip?

the heatsink is 755 grams
max for socket A is 300 grams

If you're not dropping your computer a lot it's fine. If you LAN a lot just be careful that you don't toss it around. Move it carefully (like you would anyway) and you'll be fine. It's definitely not going to break your mobo just sitting there.

lol...I hear that...I've got an upgrade coming tomorrow and I'm excited to get the performance, but i'm dreading pulling my damn case out from under my desk.....
