Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
you have to apply it yourself. its not that hard, i dont use the best technique and it still functions much better than the retail heatsink. i just put line on there and smush it around with a business card to make sure theres a thin coat on the surface.
I have the zalman 9500 AT on a E6850. I really like it. The "AT" model uses the 4 pin (pwm?) motherboard speed control to ramp the speed up/down as needed.
The only pain about the install was taking everything out to mount the backplate on the motherboard. Other than that it was pretty easy. My cpu is sitting at 37c idle now. I think with retail it was around 50c idle.
You need to check for obstructions, since its a somewhat larger cooler than the retail one.
