I think my PC may be getting a tad hot, the cpu under load reaches 110c and i can feel the side of the case is really really hot, I've not overclocked and have never done so

Oh and there IS actually 16GB of ram in there as speccy says, windows only sees 8GB max

edit: if i try to render, or play Call of Duty the PC is ok for about half an hour then it shits itself and turns off
 
Is your CPU cooler seated correctly? It seems that is the issue if you are not overclocked.
 
after I posted that I opened her up and redone the thermal compound and reseated, i also turned the fan around 180 and got the fan on the back of the case blowing outward, and the fan on the side blowing inward, and it now only goes up to 71c under load (acceptable in my books)

Is there a way to force windows to register the other 8GB of ram?
 
I've never seen win7 x64 having a problem recognizing all the RAM in the system.

I'm not sure what 16GB over 8GB would buy you in your system though.

Surprised you didn't tell him to scrap his pc and get an XBOX. BTW, that's a retarded question considering the OP posted an ss of what he has. A simple google search would have given you the answer. +1 for post count I guess.
