On information overload this past week trying to figure out my upgrade. Got a great deal on a 6800 Ultra so now I'm in a hurry to upgrade the rest of the system from a poor ECS K7S5A, XP 1900+ and 768mb mismatched PC2100.

I'd like to return to my glory days of OC'ing (Celeron 300A@450....yaaa) So I'm hoping to have a A64 running at 2.6ghz or at least 2.4. Only other thing I've already upgraded is my PSU to an Antec tru430 (rails very solid). Here's what's on my plate:

A64 3000+ 939
MSI Neo2 Plat
PQI Turbo 2-2-2
Zalman 7000A-Cu

In sticking with the underdog I've decided to go with PQI given the solid reviews. Going on the assumption that all TCCD is looking about the same. My main concern, however, is the Zalman. I'd really prefer a 1 piece unit instead of a XP-90 + Fan, but I do have concerns about the Zalman at the OC I'm hoping to reach. Seen some threads on this, but they don't seem to resolve the issue (or I'm in denial). Quick offshoot of that - is the Cu worth it over the AlCu?

Also I remember the MSI 754 board needed special nipples/backplate removal with the Zalman - does the Neo2 Plat also require special attention?

Feel free to kick in any other suggestions/flames/gfy's and such. Going to sleep on all this stuff and wake up ready to go insane on my purchase day.
