HDMI 1.4a ?

According to Nvidia, 3D Blu-Ray is supported:
Search google for "NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 3d vision", the first link is what I am talking about (seems I can't post a URL to nvidia for some reason).

1.4a allows 1080p @ 120hz also, which isn't possible on earlier versions of HDMI. That may also be required for 3D.

this is why I'm concerned :)

HDMI 1.4a was released on March 4, 2010 and adds two additional mandatory 3D formats for broadcast content, which was deferred with HDMI 1.4 in order to see the direction of the 3D broadcast market.[147][148] HDMI 1.4a has defined mandatory 3D formats for broadcast, game, and movie content.[147] HDMI 1.4a requires that 3D displays support the frame packing 3D format at either 720p50 and 1080p24 or 720p60 and 1080p24, side-by-side horizontal at either 1080i50 or 1080i60, and top-and-bottom at either 720p50 and 1080p24 or 720p60 and 1080p24.[148]

It might support 3d bluray but not the other 1.4a features, so then it could only claim 1.3a

Good choice.

Many (or even most) manufacturers had 3D support in HDMI 1.3x, but 3D was not introduced as a standard until HDMI 1.4. As a result, HDMI 1.3x devices often have slightly different implementations and are prone to more handshake and other issues.

In the case of the 610, it uses a rebadged, previous generation chip. My feeling (without researching further, mind you) is that it doesn't have the power and/or implementation to drive all of the required 3D content for the HDMI 1.4a specification, at least not reliably and in all circumstances. So most 3D content will probably work just fine, but maybe not all. And you still might have had to deal with the issues associated with handshaking 3D under 1.3x.

Its a bandwidth thing not a feature thing, all high speed HDMI ports and cables work with 3d. The GTX 460 is 1.3a and it does 3d fine, same with the PS3. All dual link DVI ports should be able to do 3d as well as long as the drivers support it.
