This is a serious question, I have a HAF 922 case with a XFX FURY X card. I have one 200mm fan on front of case as intake and one 200mm fan on top and one Noctua 140mm fan on bottom of case for intake. I have them all set to lowest speed possible using case fan controller and I even have a low voltage adapter installed on the top fan to further decrease speed.
My two HDD temps as of right now are (according to speedfan):
18 and 19 degrees Celsius.
Everything that I've read states that temps UNDER 25 is what kills harddrives. My GPU temp is 20 degrees Celsius and gets up to anywhere between 33 and 50 degrees Celsius depending on the game.
I keep my office at 20 degrees Celsius.
1) Will these low temps kill my HDDs?
2) What can I do to increase the HDD temps without increasing overall temps in my case?
I have the HDDS mounted in the HDD cage using pipe foam (the kind you wrap pipes with). I cut out 4 small pieces the size of a pinkie finger and placed the HDD on top, then I placed 4 more pieces on top of that HDD on each corner and placed the other HDD on top of that. Before these HDDs were very loud but now they are totally silent.
