Yep, I checked and mine is 2 years too. So the disk for sale on Amazon is definitely a scam, since its warranty is only 1 year.
By the way, the 4TB disk was taken off Amazon, I think this confirms the scam.
wrong, since 2012 Seagate/WD reduced the warranty on their drives, so it's not Amazon's fault that the drive has only 1 year warranty.

the Seagate external still has a 2 year warranty listed on the manufacture website. But i end up buying the 4tb from http://www.shopblt.com/cgi-bin/shop...1300000U0127_BLB0899P.shtml&order_id=!ORDERID!
I have dealt with them before on backorder item, so I purchases them there.
