I set up a new system last night with an HD 5770 video card under Windows 7. Although everything works correctly, I don't think that my video card is configured correctly. (With it being under Windows 7 thought I'm not sure.)

I downloaded a file 8.66_RC6_Cypress_Windows_Vista_7_Sep11 from the XFXforce.com web site. It seemed to run fine and install various elements, but I was surprised that the only item it added to my Program Group was the ATI Problem Report Wizard.

A bigger problem, I think, is that when I look in the Device Manager under Display adapters it shows "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". When I attempt to change screen resolution, I don't seem to have all the choices and resolutions I'd normally expect.

The XFXforce.com web site is not very easy to navigate or find assistance. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thanks

the 9.10 drivers are not for 5770. Try with the ones in amd.com that are for the 5770. Im installing mine tonight, Its a sapphire, I let you know if I have those problems and if I am able to solve them.

Going to amd.com solved the problem. Thanks. (Not sure why the card manufacturer didn't send me there to start with. The card seems great, but the card install and setup instructions are horrible.)
