HD 5670 Crossfire

I'm skeptical about all this. My XFX Gefroce 8800GT recently got fried and was sent in for RMA and I'm getting an XFX AMD HD5670 as a replacement. I've been meaning to upgrade to more recent generation video card and this gave me a nudge to do it.

I've never tried Crossfire or SLI so this is new to me. I've done some reading and seems i can Mix and match Crossfire GPU as long it is in same series. So I assume I can Crossfire an HD 5670 with a HD 5870... If not another HD5670? Can I even do it on my MSI P6N? It's a nvidia based board with 4 PCI-E slot.

But is the performance noticeable or not worth doing this with this with my HD 5670? I play at 1920x1080 and would like to use AA with upcoming title especially since I sit 2-3 feet front of my 40" 1920x1080 LCD.
 
They should have at least sent you an HD5770.

If don't work out for you let them know.
