Motherboard: ASRock Wolfdale 1333-D667
hard drive: samsung hd321kj
and running windows 7 32bit verison
So i had a Sapphire hd 4670 1 gb ddr3 pcie card, that its gone broken, than i sent it to the service, and in the meanwhile i used my built-in grapics card (Intel 82945G).

Now i got a Gigabyte GV-R557OC-1GI HD 5570 1gb ddr3 pcie card. And my problam is that my pc wont detect the new card, as i read it needs 400W powersupply, and mine is 450W. I tryed to install the ATI driver but its come up with a stupid errors (Install complete (Warnings occured during installation).. ... etc). Probably because it cant detect the my new card, or something else, because installer only makes some empty folder.

Its very strange cuz in the past, when i connected a new grapic card and started my pc, win7 was automaticaly detected it ant installed (i was cant see anything on the monitor, but pc was working, and after a while pc just restarted itselfs and woala, new grapic card working. And just had to install driver specified to the card) but now it does nothing. I unplugged everything (between monitor and pc) than started pc, than plugged monitor to the new video card, nothing hapened, than plugged it into the mother board's built-in card, and i was heared the sound of win7 when i plugin a new device (for example an usb), and pc used the buil-t in card. So i cant manage to let my pc detect the new card.

I also read that i should disable my built-in grapic card (and also read in the new video card's trobuleshooting manual too) but i am a little worried of disabling it.

Cheers

I wouldnt worry about disabling the onboard card as you can disable and enable the device through your BIOS. Disableing the onboard video is likely to resolve your problem.

The problam is that i only can set a priority for it, i cant disable it 100%
check pictures^^:

I also used a program to delete all files/registry records from ati, but it nearly did nothing

And this article from amd says that i may upload my bios

edit:eek:k i have disabled the build in grapic card by win7, and still the some, my pc just cant fkin recognize that shit hd 5570

When you say "it does nothing" what exactly do you mean. Do you at least see your bios splash screen? do you hear windows startup? If so I would try switching the port your monitor is plugged to on the 5570. I noticed your card has a vga, dvi, and hdmi port.

System starts up normaly, and if i pluged both vga and hdmi to my monitor, but nothing hapenes. Monitor just switching between digital and analog mode, and after a while it give up and turns into sleep mode or sg. similar (the power light keeps twinkling or wut. Like when you set turn off the monitor after 5minutes of afk in windows). So monitor detects that i plugged the cable to sg. but nothing hapen.

And if i plug the cable to my bord, i can hear that a new hardware connected (the win7 sound) and the desktop shown up with the onbord grapic card.

Other: i tryed it on another pc, with 400w psu, and it was worked fine, so i guess problems were caused by my motherboard maybe, but i can't understand that what part doesnt fitt of my board?

I thinking of those PCI-Express x16 2.1, but i cant find the motherboard's version number, only PCI-Expres x16

And the video card:

edit: found the problem (maybe). my motherboard Wolfdale1333-D667 R2.0 cant recogznie HD 5xxx series -.-, asrock staff said in the past to update my bios, i try it

Its just unbelievable. Someone from another forum found an article, and in it there was a guy who had the same problam with the same hardware things (wolfdare 1333-d667 r2.0, and hd 5670<-yes its a little different than mine). And those article from one of the AMD forums, and there was a staff member who told the guy to update to a beta bios (can not be found anywhere else[nearly], only from the staff's post) and give a try because this motherbord cant handle hd 5xxx cards.

So i updated my bios to 1.50 yesterday (its availabe at the official amd site). Than i upgraded to 1.53 version provided by the amd staff. And guess what, ITS WORKING NOW!!!

So here it goes the "secret" bios version for woldfare 1333 d-667:
http://europe.asrock.com/downloadsite/bios/775/Wolfdale1333-D667(1.53).zip

It was even a little hard to install, because i had to use a pendrive (root from) and if i tryed to access the drive G: (shown it as pendrive in windows) it was not found. Because when you root from pendrive, it will become C: drive, so just type in cmd:
AFUDOS WD133D61.53
And read also the update manual of official asrock page about how to update bios

Cheers
