When or if is Havok Fx going to be debuted? where you could use anycard over 6 series to transfer physics to in sli mode?

According to the site it launched in Q2 of 2006. I guess no one's been developing with it in mind? Plus Havok FX uses SM3.0 and not the new 4.0, but I have no expertise in the area so I wouldn't be able to say whether that really means much.

So people would rather have a physics system that cannot do affect physics and drains GPU performance to work, than a PPU that can accelerate both affect and effect physics and doesn't drain performance from any other components to work?

I will also argue the PPU is cheaper; sure they say 6 series cards can do it but the Havok FX demonstrations shown so far run on a dedicated 7900GTX, expect much less on a 12 pipline 6 series. People can also say what they want about Ageia's game support, but every game is one more than Havok FX has. I think the only announced game that uses Havok FX is HellGate London; surprise surprise that it is previewed as a DX10 game that looks DX9.

If you want to pay more for less then that is your thing, but I think it is more a matter of brand loyalty than getting the best deal.

Oh well competition is always good.

sooo, when can i use my 3rd pci-e slot for physx?

I want to know this. From what i've read, these physx cards can be useful, but nobody can be bothered designing for them. Are they even worth it at the moment/in the near future?

Ageia does seem to be delaying that PCI-E PPU quite a bit, god knows why. I was just going over the current merit of the PPU over Havok FX, even if you consider the GPU slot more convenient than the current PCI PPU there is nothing that actually uses Havok FX right now. Odd that didn't deter all the motherboard manufacturers from releasing three slot SLI boards months ago, shows how much brand name can influence peoples attitude on what they believe will succeed.

Regardless pictures of the new PPU are out there, so hopefully it won't be too long.
