I'm presently running Windows XP, and for some reason, when I try to visit certain sites, I keep getting re-directed to a list of other pages. This is something that started all of a sudden and no matter how much I keep checking my web settings, the same thing keeps orccuring.

Can anyone here give me so much as a clue as to what to do about this :(

Check my sig, cleaning your system. This is typical behavior of abrowser hijacking.

Problems web-surfing? That's easy...go to google.com, type in "Hot Lesbians", and hit enter.

*reads problem description*

Yeah, it definitely sounds like spyware. Run the scans suggested and clean it up.

http://www.majorgeeks.com .... your one stop shopping place for free virus scanners , anti-spyware proggies , and more ...

AVG Free or Avast!
Ad-Aware Personal
Spy-Bot Search & Destroy (make sure to immunize!)
Spyware Blaster (enable all protection!)
Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta (seems kind of bloated so only run when computer not used)
Zone-Alarm Free
CCleaner
RegScrubXP
Regcleaner
NRegopt

..and maybe try-out a different browser if you haven't already
