Having trouble using a Wireless G Range Expander

I got my network to work... I'm connected to the wireless but the signal strength is low to very low. I bought a Linksys Wireless G Range Expander (WRE54G) and put it closer to my wireless router (D-Link DI-784). I can configure it "fine" but the problem is when my computer connects to it, it lists as Excellent signal strength however my PC only sends packets... it stops recieving them. The expander has 2 lights, activity and link. Activity is blue, link is red. Obviously my computer is seeing the expander, knows its close, and knows its 54mbps (router is 108 or something but it doesn't matter)... however I don't think the expander is seeing my computer or its just not recieving data from the router to send to me. So, I am not recieving any packets and if I connect to the expander I can't do anything until I unplug it.

If anyone has any experience with these expanders or knows something I don't I would really appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.
