Hey guys.

Before i start my complaining here is my rig:
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton unlocked Running at 200x11
MSI k7n2 Delta L nForce2
2xWestern Digital 80gb 7200 RPM HDD with 8meg cache
2x512mb Crucial PC3200 Running in DC
ATI 9500 Pro 128mb Unmodded
Antec 350 watt psu
samsung cdrw etc.

Here is my dilemma:

When I play World Of Warcraft, Often times my game would hang, and i mean hang, I dont hear any sound, Mouse stopps working, Video is stuck. But then after like 30-45 seconds it comes back and its good for a bit, Then it will hang and you hear the audio repeat itself over and over like a broken record. Not being able to Alt+f4 or Alt+tab my way out, I restart and the computer is fine again. Anyone know whats up?

This is what i have done to try to fix the problems:

Downclocked CPU back to stock
Changed Video card to a MX440, FX5200, TI4600 same issues
put my ram in all the different slot combos, even in non dual channel
reformatted my harddrives twice
using just one harddrive
pushing up the cooling by speeding up my side 120mm fan
enabling my top vent fan
put heatsinks on the video card
cleaned up my CPU cooler re-applied as5
reinstalled the game four times and repatched
sit back and whine
yell at the computer

To me it sounds like a driver issue, either motherboard, network (LAN) or sound drivers.

Try to disable sound in BIOS if you have an on-board sound card or remove your sound card if you have a PCI sound card and then start playing Warcraft again and see if it makes any difference.
If it helps I would say it is the sound drivers.

You could also try testing your RAM individually.
I just lost a stick of RAM a little while ago, had issues like that.

If it only happens with that game, then it could be proxy related. You could try a program that handles the proxy while you play, and optimizes them. If your connection get's routed the wrong way while playing, or halts, it could affect the game like that.

Can't think of the program name, but there's a few out there. I had a friend who had a similar problem with another MMO, and the proxy program fixed everything. This is only if it's ONLY WoW though.. if it happens with all games, then ignore me.

Did a couple of things and now i get this:

Ventrilo + WoW running:

Game pauses, I can hear the music, and people on vent, then the vent freezes, still music, then i hear people on vent, and the game is good again music and everything, then it does it a couple more times, and then it's frozen.. what's going on!

Updated nVidia Audio drivers with the new ones, but there are 2 diff ones, which do i pick?
