Have Celerons Gotten Any Better?

[Roman79]

I noticed that the new Celerons have 256K of cache now. I know that the older ones with 128K were really "lacking", but has anyone tried these new ones? I remember people saying that one of the main reasons for the large performance difference between P4s and Celerons was the difference in cache.

Thanks.

The Prescott based Celeron's show some promise.

xbit labs got a celeron d 2.8 running at 3.8. most benchmarks it could hang with a p4 2.8 but in some it could outpace a p4 3.2.
