I was looking for a driver for an old video card and every link was either to driver detective or driver robot.

I thought they would be a good idea UNTIL I saw the price.

Anyone got any comments or know of something free like this?

a paid software to get legacy drivers?
i don't think so!

aren't the drivers on the manufacturer's website?

http://www.pcpitstop.com/

has a free driver scan utility. free version gives info only, but that info is enough along with google to get the latest drivers.

edit: you must install an executable. completely safe and useful in my experience.

thanks that is what I wanted to hear. I could see a use for their service but it was way tooooo high. AND there is not a bit of telling how well their service really works. Kind of like the old freeware virus and malware scanners. OH HELL you have 85 malicious softwares on your system...BUY US NOW

mtasquared thanks for that tip.
