A guy on another thread said that they sold him reboxed stuff as new and it kinda freaked me out so i went through all my stuff i ordered from them and was looking through it all. I think my rad and pump are reboxed but im not sure ill post pictures and why i think that just waiting on my cameras battery to charge. i think i may call them and ask and if they admit i will return everything i got from there and go else where.

The couple of times I have ordered from them, everything was ok.

I would can them and ask, be nice and see what they say.

I really wonder how common this is in retail because I have had this happen lots of times from amazon.com (actually from them not some other seller on amazon). Like dvd's will be open and have finger prints. One time they just put someone elses rma'ed box inside a new box and shipped it to me. Still had the other persons shipping label and rma number on it. I have had it happen at best buy quite a bit as well. Newegg so far everything has seemed new but there packaging could be better.

Me two it kinda pisses you off that they do that i wish there was atleast one great company out there that didnt lie to make money. gotta love what our world has came to Ig i dont really mind it as long as it is in perfect condition and works perfectly. It still makes me mad this item is brand new thats why its in the wrong box and has bent fins? As long as it doesnt leak im fine. Ill go find out if it leaks or not...

So far I've only ordered some sleeved cables, and they seemed OK (not even sure how cables might be different if they've been reboxed, anyways).

I'm thinking of putting in a much larger order for a CPU block, coolant and some USB gadgets, so I'm curious what else comes out of this thread.

They are pretty good until you need to return something, then you get hosed. Check Sidewinder first!

I think im going to start looking at sidewinder more often

I ordered yate loons how did you figure out they were bad>?

I have heard multiple cases of PPCs shipping repackaged/shitty items as well as outrageously terrible customer service. I would never purchase from them.

I hope everything turns out fine and works good. if not then ill just return whats bad and go from there ig.

Return it ASAP and enjoy the restocking fee.

I ordered a MO-RA3 9x140mm LT radiator, got the PRO version instead. Oh well, I'll eat the loss :D

I ordered from them a few times and the early orders were fine...but then something changed...they didn't ship me the correct order one time and when I tried to call to get it corrected the guy was very rude...he tried to say it was my fault and when I said I had an e-mail which proved I was right he got even nastier...I never ordered from them again after that

I don't know what happened to them...they used to be a great company...maybe new management?

yeah I dont know either im nervous that ill get bad yate loon fans or something in bad condition. I think im done with them after this cuz just to many bad storys... Frozencpu is the best just wayyyyy to expensive i think.

Fry's does this all the time. Several times now, I bought something "new" and it was obviously re-shrink-wrapped. So I stopped buying anything from them. Newegg has better prices anyway.

Have had a good experience with performance pcs. Just two transactions but both great.

They once claimed they sent me a bunch of shit (a nice mobo and, I believe a CPU as well) when they never did.

They sent me numerous harassing emails, and even called me - and my parents! To try and get to the bottom of it. After telling them literally 10 times, and spending well over 30m on the phone with some bitch, the phone was passed to some dude who threatened to tell my College admissions dean that I was a criminal for stealing their goods. I had my father call, pretending to be a lawyer, and threaten legal action if they did not desist. They also maintained that they had many customers, so the 1000-2000$ I had spent there every year or two (or so) was no big deal. I love companies that say your thousands of dollars of business aren't worth anything to them.

Quite funny, in that things mailed to you via USPS, are the property of the receiver, so I wouldn't have violated any laws by keeping the shit, had they actually sent it.

Also funny that they banned ME for being a bad customer. Fine by me, dickholes, lol!

HOWEVER, I HAD purchased over 1000$ worth of things in that year, all without any issues... And fast shipping. I suppose they're okay unless you need ANY sort of support.

Had a good experience the other day. Ordered AP-15s and they drop shipped them to me. Had them the very next day. Email communication was good to.

I ordered nearly all of my water-cooling stuff from them on this last build. They didn't always have the lowest prices, but once you figured in selection and shipping, they were the best deal at the time. Got all of my parts, as advertised. Nothing special, but no complaints.

I ordered all my water cooling stuff from them a few months bad and its all working great. They were the lowest on shipping and my xspc rx360 rads I got from them. My friend buys a crap ton of stuff from them and hasn't had an issue.

I got my order and it was ok the yates were off brands and sound really bad

Just ordered a Technofront Challenger X1 dual bay res from them 2 weeks ago. Shipping was expensive, but it did get here on time and with no damage or apparent usage.

I use frozen CPU. All I know is I bought over .1000$,of crap from them and its all been sparkly and new.

One time I purchased a Pump from them - obviously repackaged and they tried to argue with me on it - I did return it and yes they are a MF on restocking fees, but in the end I have purchased a $#1t ton from them over the last couple years. 99% of what is in Frank came from PPCS.

As far as CS goes - IDK what you ran into, but the ones I have talked to have been very helpful. About two years ago I had a conversation with a female there and she was rude as hell, otherwise its all been good. I actually love PPCS overall. I must because I know this year alone I have spent over $4k there.

I love frozencpu but it is so expensive

I have had good experiences with FrozenCPU.

I have used PPCS for 5 years or so without any issues, at least as far as receiving bad/defective/repackaged items. However recently they have been slow at shipping and the packaging has been less then acceptable, like someone chucked the crap in the box and shipped it.

Sidewinder is pretty good, prices are acceptable, but they do not always have the inventory other shops do. They are located a short drive from my house which is a bonus.

FrozenCPU has always been good to me, however as mentioned above their prices are pretty rough sometimes. They also have a great selection of off the wall stuff.

Newegg is arguably the best computer parts store I have ever used, however, they do not carry much if any DYI or water-cooling stuff.

I have ordered from jab-tech, frozencpu, and performancepcs ... the only problem is what is in stock. performancepcs seem to have what I want usually in stock.

resellerratings.com is your friend. I have used it for years, but you have read through whiny-ness & prima donas sometimes to get a good eval.

I never buy anything from performancepcs yet but I already from frozencpu, sidewindercomputers, svc & xoxide they all take care of me at less buying with them one time very happy :)

Same experience here: they shipped the wrong fitting, not because of the part number, but the photo and description they put on the fitting, so at first they tried to put it on me. Turns out that the mfg. sent them the wrong photo for that part to post on their site... so then they said they would exchange it if I sent it back in... WTF? A fitting? Really? In the past, when they goof up like that, Hank would just send me the correct part right away and not even ask, but now I was going to have to wait. So I figured at least I should demand they pay for return shipping... Im not paying another $9 for a part they messed up, right? They did, but the fact I had to wait for the right part pissed me off so much and meant I had to get the part somewhere else to finish the build on time... long story short, I waited to send it back in. Not only did I pay for return shipping then, but they said then that the RMA was too old to be used and they couldn't be re-issued (really, because I already had it redone once for the return shipping ya dicks) so I would just get an in-store credit... so I would have to pay shipping once again for the part!! I know, partly my fault on that one, but it wouldn't have happened if they had not been such shits in the first place... I have spent thousands and thousands there... and in the past when I was a new customer I got great service... they fuck up an order, they made it right ASAP. Now... its like they just figure "he'll be back" and try to see how little they can do for you. Im looking to take my business elsewhere.
