So I want to get an AMD for my next computer. I saw that new P model shuttle nad it looked sweet, but I also want that new sound card off the audio thing. Its PCI thought, not the new PCI-e 1x standard

am I stuck gettin an older version of the Shuttle or what should I do?

My self own a shuttle SN25P and I love it, even the onboard sound is just great, just as good as my audigy 2 zs in my other systems. I'm not sure how far out there is going to be a pc1-e x1 sound card in production any time soon ( could be wrong ). If you decide on getting a P series type shuttle, check out creatives audigy 2nx external sound card ( heard good reviews on it )

Oh geez, there is not a motherboard with decent onboard sound. Look for something to support your soundcard, otherwise just get an external (usb or firewire) sound system.

(BIAS: I really, really like my music.)

Some people can live with onboard sound. I'm one of those people. Granted I've never heard something like the Audigy 2 zs with a good system, but if you can live without it don't spend the money.
