Is there a way to delete an existing xp install from a hardrive? I just got my sata raid setup going and want to use my ide hds but dont want the xp installs to conflict. Any help?

Problem is I only want to delete the xp install, not all of the files I have on it. For some reason I don't want to copy stuff from that WD hd to my new ones because I think they will bring along crap with em and some how damage my new ones.
So what you really mean is:
Can I delete the existing XP on my HD without harming my other files?
I've never done that. When I need to do a clean install I copy all my existing files--mainly in [Documents and Settings] under [user name] to a safe place. To completely remove XP without damaging the other files would be quite impossible, right?
Might as well just leave it on... You could even set up boot.ini in such a way that it gave you like a 3 second choice on bootup, and if your main windows installation ever went south, you could just boot into the second one... That can be really handy sometimes
