I could say the same about you. You point out the facts you want to hear and ignore all the rest.
And you call two nOObs over half of the people in the thread? lol
The first one said it was choppy even at 1024x768. Thats definitely a driver or game patch issue.
Usually the ones that are getting choppyness are not running the best drivers for their system or the issue lies somewhere else in their system. When most all the veteran users are getting good performance results you can bet there is nothing wrong with the cards performance.
Alot of the games out there just need to be patched for the new drivers and NV40's. The X800's are having less issues because of the fact their just building on where the 9800 pro left off. The NV40's on the other hand are a whole new series with new features.
Your going to have game issues with a 6800u or X800XT PE ither one. Usually those issues get addressed in driver updates and future game patches.

OWA said:Madden 2004 is super smooth. I play both at 1600x1200 4xAA/8xAF.

anzak said:I can tell you for the short time I had my GT 1600x1200 with 4xAA and 16xAF was not playable, not at 35-50fps anyways. 1600x1200 with 2xAA and 8xAF runs Far Cry great 35-60 fps all the time. Im sure sports games are less demanding then Far Cry so 1600x1200 with everything maxed should be fine.

1600x1200 4xAA/8xAF, all game settings maxed
nba2004 (1 quarter)
Avg: 62.861 - Min: 49 - Max: 301
* not sure where the 301 comes from, might want to look at min here
madden2004 (each team had the ball once)
Avg: 59.042 - Min: 44 - Max: 63
mvp2004 (1 inning)
Avg: 46.054 - Min: 40 - Max: 61
TW2004 (Bethpage - Black, 1 hole)
Avg: 63.452 - Min: 28 - Max: 157
Edit: Seems the first hole was an easy one for the card. The 2nd hole of the same course I'm dipping into the teens quite a bit. It does fine as long as you're on the fairway but get into the rough or around a lot of foilage and the framerate drops quite a bit.
And there are plenty more threads like that on nV News if anyone is interested in seeing what settings people are finding "playable" on the 6800's.
