k i have some weird issues with my harddrive. lately, after building my custom case, i put everything back together, and on boot up the harddrive was making this whining noise as it was spinning, very annoying

anyone know how i can fix this? im not sure if the drive still works cuz im having trouble booting it up but i think that might be from something different

so can anyone help me? thanks

does it whine the whole time, and are you having issues? it might be going bad, or it might not be screwed in tight enough so when it starts spinning its rattling

it whines the whole time, when the head is moving around you can hear it in a lower whine

if its gonna die is there anyway to get the stuff off it?

also i'm having some boot up issues wiht it, like i don't think its getting detected, but i need to change my cmos battery to find out what the problem is
