anyone know of any... brothers harddrives just went down? anyone know what he could do
 
you need to be far more specific in the problem and with the question.

I can rattle off about 10 different models of harddrives, none of which you are probably looking for.

Are you asking for brands of hard drives, or what he could do to recover data? My fiancee goes down, but none of my hard drives in the last 10 years have ever gone down, so I'm not really sure what that means. Did it die or was it just a software level problem?
