Hard drive trouble

I am having trouble with my drive as the title above says. I used lame ass FDISK to make a second partition. Since then, I want to just go back down to the single drive. I used FDISK to delete both partitions, and created just the single primary drive. But it still says I have both drive when I use the DIR command to look at the directories. When I am in FDISK it says I just have the only primary drive that is 14gb, then the directory says that my c: is 6gb and d: is 8gb. I know the c: drive is FAT32 and I'm pretty sure that the d: drive is also, but whats the easiest way to find out? Any ideas besides that though, because like I said. I am 99% sure its FAT32 also. Thanks for the help!!

what OS are you going to put on there? if you boot off of a win2k or XP cd, you can just delete all partitions, then create a new one that is the full drive.. also, only use fat32 if you are still using win98, anything above that needs NTFS.. unless you are making a mac or linux box..
