what are the tamper proof screws on hard drives called? torex right? What size are they on drives? (western digital)
 
They're Torx screws, and the harddrives I've messed with were all either size 7 or 8 (though I don't think I've taken apart a WD drive yet. This is the tool I bought to deal with them. I think it has sizes 5-10, and 15 and 20, everything you should need.
