Hard drive reformat

how do I reformat my HD? I just want it completely wiped, adn then i am going to install Windows 98. Any help appreciated

windows will do that during that operation before installing

if so i would use a windows 2000 or xp disc, have it delete the partitions and format them


remember u can't have a partition bigger than 32gb with fat32

you can also use tools such as partition magic

Radified FDisk Guide

Windows 98 wont format for you
Youll need to download Windows 98se OEM Bootdisk w\CDROM support and make a floppy

then follow the guide above

if you have trouble deleting any previous filesystem (non-FAT filesystems) zero out the HDD with Autoclave or DBAN

Autoclave happens to located on the Ultimate Boot CD (Freeware ISO, CD burning instructions are about halfway down the page)
