I am trying to get a new 2.5" drive formatted in my 600m laptop.

when I type "fdisk" it says no fixed drive found.

My desktop could not find it in an external enclosure even though it was spinning. Nothing in Disk Management.

Bad drive? ... but it was spinning.

Please help!
 
When installed in the laptop did you go to the BIOS to see if it was recognized there?
