I've never done this before.
Can anyone tell me how to clone a hard drive?

I currently have a 160 gig maxtor in my PC
I want to switch it to a 160 gig western digital

So i'm wondering if i can just clone the whole drive so the WD will run windows without having to reinstall

is it possible?

I just cloned my SeaGate 120 GB HDD to a RAID 0 set of DiamondMax 10 200 GB HDD using MaxBlast Maxtor tools. It went fairly well, but took about 4-5 hours. You could also use Norton Ghost, but it didn't work too well for me

thanks guys

i'll try out the WD one first...should be ok...4-5 hours i guess isn't too too bad...
its better than burning everything to dvd and reinstalling
