Ah, so is it like gas milage where they tell you this is what you should get versus what you really get? Or if I have a SATA 150 drive, my burst values should actually hit 150? It's only going to 130, with an average read of 60, but then my car is supposed to get 30-35 mpg but I only get an average of 30

(which ain't bad really)Not really, you do get xxxMB of STR, but the problem is that software may not be accessing your hdd in a sequential manner and/ or requesting the same block size as HDTach, which will change the results.
Depending on whom you believe, some people suggest that RAID-0 which dramatically improves STR, i.e. HDTach scores, does little to make games load faster. Other say there is a huge difference.
