Does any one know of freeware that would enable me to have most of the hard drives hibernate?
W2K let's me hibernate all my drives.
Example - folding constantly so I'd like the drive with the OS and folding on it to ALWAYS be on, and the wife uses the computer a lot, but all of it on the "root" drive. But with another TB of drives inside they could spin down for most of the time, thus saving power (heat etc.)

Would it not be easier to buy a second computer for the wife, fold 100% on the first...and 100% on the second machine?

:D

Marty, I like the way you think. ;) :D

Gee marty - great idea, but it is her computer, right now I'm running 9 CPU's for 3 people.

OS - W2K as stated

The other drives don't spin down? On my home box, which is XP, it will spin down my second drive and keep the first going all the time. I seem to remember it doing the same thing when it was Win2K, but I could be wrong.
