im going to buy the 6800 GT at the end of this week. ive been looking at the leatek 6800 GT cuz of the cool heatsink they have on it. im also looking at the eVGA one but im not sure. can anyone help out and give me some opions on what theyve experienced? yes i know people are posting about this stuff like crazy, but im very uncertain and i dont want to spend my money on something that i cant overclock.

Given that both cards carry the same core and mem clock speeds, and the only difference is the hsf (the leadtek one probably works slightly better, but the reference cooler ain't so bad either), you are going to get basically the same spread of oc'ing results from either card.

well in that case then ill go with the eVGA and save some money for something else. maybe pizza money for a LAN party or something :D ;)

From what I've heard you must have good airflow in your case for the leadtek hsf to work like it should...otherwise the reference design is better for cooling.
