Tiger-Direct is offering this monitor for $130 dollars.
24", 1920x1080, 16:9, 40000000:1, 5ms
How can this be? The price alone worries me as much as
a Hanns monitor.

It is a cheap TN panel, with an overstated contrast ratio and a fudged response time.

I've used 3 of those to game on in eyefinity before without issues.

panel quality is merely OK, bad viewing angles

Thought so. Thanks for verifying my suspicions.
Seems to be a good model to go by when 1 monitor is
hundreds less than lets say a Dell Ultra sharp and this
cheapie there has to be a reason.

They are not bad units. Just average in quality. Plenty of people have used them for gaming. Only problem with them is that they may last a year or they may go for several years. You may get a dead pixel or you may not. Like I said. Average. I would suggest one if you are on a really tight budget otherwise get something better.

Sure, it is not the best, but it is fine for most people.

The whole freakin world is using cheap TN panels. My 28" is fine for me at work. I don't have a choice in the matter.

I have 2 28" Hanns-G monitors that I use at home and they fit my needs fine. Sure they could be better, but I haven't had any problems with them so far.
