Halflife2 Performance on 4.12cats

My system in my sig. In half-life 2 I get a flickering/studdering effect only on water when i use the 4.12cats it happend when i used the 4.12betas also. I switch back to 4.11cats and the problem goes away. I haven't overclocked anything niether the cpu nor the videocard. I ran the CS stress test with 4.12betas and i get an extra 4fps but with that weird water glitch...i think im going back to 4.11cats.

1. I have NOT overclocked anything!
2. This happend before and after I did a reformat on my hardrive and fresh install of xp sp2
3. I removed the old 4.11s using drivercleaner before i installed the 4.12s

I don't know why this is happening ...when it happend on the 4.12betas i said well they will take care of it when the official 4.12s are released and they didn't its still there...

Does anyone eles get the same jittering water effect with 4.12s?

dont know about half life 2 with the 4.12 drivers but after I installed them a hour ago and loaded up diabo 2 the game wont use my aa/af settings.... this is the first time I ever had a issue with ati drivers. Oh well.... looking forward to the next driver release.

Is it that one where your gun disappears? If it is, I had it too, so i'll probably stay with the 4.11's.
