So my Sapphire 9800 Pro crapped out on me last week. Since it was still under warrenty from Newegg I RMAed it. I got an e-mail from them today saying they no longer carry the card and that I can choose between a refund or an All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro Retail. Well that wasn't a hard choice. Man Newegg kicks ass!

When did you buy it? Did you buy the warranty from them or they still accept it with manufacturer warranty?

I bought it about 9 months ago. They warrent everything for a year through them for free unless otherwise specified.

??? LOL never knew that, thats actualy supposed to be illegal to offer warrentys on stuff when the manufactures themselfs have warrentys ...

anyway the AIW 9800 is slower then the 9800pro .... :p

he said he got a 9800 PRO AIW, which would be the same exact speed as a normal 9800pro.

or we don't have to bring this to anyones attention

I don't think there was a warrenty through Sapphire as when I bought the card it was OEM.

No, its not. CompUSA as well as all other stores offer you warrenties on almost any product for extra $$$$. CompUSA offered me a warranty for my videocard for an extra $40that covered it for one year. AND they said that even if I break it by overclocking it or FLASHING Bios, THEIR warrant will still cover it. I am planning to get the warrany this weekend, if I still can because I bought the videocard from them like about 14 days ago.

lol only place i get parts from, if a xp-90 isnt in stock i dont get it anywhere else i wait for it to get in stock

ive spent 4 grand literly from newegg in the past 13 months, couldnt be more happier. there was a problem once with a warehouse glitch so all orders for that couple of days from everyone couldnt go through. i ended up getting 2 x $2.99 rush order imbursements plus free overnight shipping

that's what happened to me... i had a faulty 9700 pro, but it was discontinued, so they gave me a powercolor 9800 pro in return. gotta love newegg :) :)

You're loyalty is admirable, but you are just a number to them. No reason to shop somewhere else if the price is cheaper (and there are many), that is the point of buying online isn't it?

Good prices are part of it. You also get a better selection and, if you're buying any quantity, faster service - if I order 10 motherboards at work, the local vendors will either force me to buy the one model that they actually have that many of or wait a week, while newegg gets me my shit in 3 days. Same with returns - no local vendor's going to let me DHL the gear to them, I have to actually drive down there to RMA a DOA part.

Oh you can't beat my deal. My radeon 9800 pro that I bought from newegg a year ago died about 2 weeks ago so I RMA'd it. They offered me a new 9800pro AIW or a $225 refund for it. However, I asked them if they could refund the full price of the card $292 if I went and bought a x800xt right away. However, about and hour after I received an email back agreeing to the deal, x800xt cards were out and they said they can't hold RMA's until stock comes in. So I got another email saying they would give me a $250 refund so I agreed but when I checked the rma status they gave included tax that I paid on the card so it came out to be a $275 dollar refund!!! ahah gotta love it! :p
