I'm running 2 ASUS DCII 670's in a HAF-X with the air duct installed on the side fan and all the other fans in their original configuration. I've been wondering if I it would improve temps if I had the side 200mm fan exhausting air and make the top one an intake and maybe add a second top one for intake as well? Or should I just keep the fans as is and maybe just remove the side air duct?

Should I aim for more intake than exhaust or vice versa?
 
More intake is generally better because it helps keep the dust from settling on your components.

The best way to figure out what configuration is best is simply to just try it.
 
Thanks I will definitely look into those filters, hope they ship internationally for a reasonable price though. I'm thinking maybe replace the side fan with a CM 200mm red LED one and use the one from the side as a second top exhaust.

Thats what I did too. :D

Filters are a bit of a pain, but worth the trouble. After two years, my case looks like new inside, and has never been cleaned. Just maintain the filters once a week....
 
I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on these but I have to ask, did you get the whole set?
In the price quotation they sent me they listed this "1 x HAF-X Rear Filter (S)" and it alone costs more than the other 6 filters coming in at like 53 dollars.

Now I'm not sure what that filter is for. I'm guessing its for the perforated area on the back of the case?

Also are you using the standard airflow config of front/side intake and rear/top exhaust or the back to front config they suggest?
 
I got the entire set, but I only use 3 filters. Front Side, Rear.

And yes, I use standard airflow. Intake- Front, Side, Rear,..... Exhaust Top
