Hey all,

I had the Canon Powershot A80, but was not satisfied with it (pics were great but I didn't like the feel of a point-and-shoot camera body). Anyway, I gave it to my girlfriend and now I am in the market for something new.

So, if you had a max of 350 US dollars...what digital camera would you get. Personally I like high optical zoom, fair to good macro with included lens, and fast frame capture at full resolutions, and no less then 3.2MP.

I am currently looking at the following, but will gladly take suggestions:

HP Photosmart 850

Kodak DX6490 Love the huge lcd on this one.

Kyocera Finecam M410R

or I have looked at these too, any opinions?

Panasonic DMC-FZ10

Olympus C-765UZ

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2

Toshiba PDR-M700 again, nice huge lcd.

Fujifilm Finepix S5000

Opinions, suggestions, help? Please. :D

fz10 is easily the best in terms of both image quality and specs

That is what I was thing too. The price tag is a little steep for me, the least I could find it for online is $466. Although I know I would be happy with this camera, I can't justify the price in my head.

Thanks for the suggestion thouh.

if you do look into the fz10, note that the fz15 and fz20 are coming out soon. the fz15 has the same price point as the fz10. i think im going to buy it when it comes out :)

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll have to look into that.

The Canon S1 IS has a 10x optical, Image Stabilization, does 640x480 movies @ 30fps until your card runs out. I'm considering replacing my G3 with one as a backup to my 10D.
