Hackers Strike Advanced Computing Networks

Interesting story. It doesn't sound like it's related to the folding project we know, but just a network of supercomputers that happens to have a node at Stanford. Does anyone know if the folding@home project has any tie-in to this network?
 
could it be? linux has a hole that got exploited by kiddies?

if it could, i think my NT4 server would be smiling right now ;)
