Hey guys,

I'm wondering how durable the corsair H50 cpu cooler is in regards to how well it would hold up in a pc case that gets moved around. I currently bring my pc back and for to work anywhere from 2-3 times a week.

Would it be a bad idea to install one of these in my situation? I was thinking about maybe putting some extra hose clamps or something on the hoses to make sure they wont pop off or come loose.

The reason I'd like to go with this cpu cooler for one I think its an awesome idea and an easy all in one wc set up and because the past couple weeks Best Buy has had these things on sale for 50-60 dollars. Yesterday when I was at Best Buy I seen that they had 3 "open box" H50s on sale for 35-40 bucks. I asked a salesman their policy on them and what if parts were missing or something didnt work and he said their 30 day no questions return policy applies to open box and returned items too. So for the money I think its a good deal. I'm just leary about a water cooler system in a pc that I transport frequently. When I move my case around I'm very careful and treat it like a newborn baby.

Sorry for the long question and explanation but I'd really like to get one of these.

I think it will be fine, the only thing you will notice is that the air bubble sound. I would be fine for moving my computer a ton with my h50. Homestly i think it would be better then the huge air coolers cuz the stress the board cuz of the weight from them. Thats what is nice about the h50. It is lightweight and very good. I havnt had any issues with mine when i move it around.
I would do it if i were you.

Better for the motherboard to have the h50 style cooler for sure

Thanks guys, looks like I will be picking up one of these "open box" deals from best buy. I just purchased some Shin-etsu thermal paste so I will be scrapping off the stock TIM from the H50 and using the good stuff, unless you guys think the stock material is just as good on the H50
 
I didnt have a choice on taking my stuff off the block, but from what i have heard the stock stuff is really good stuff. I put artic silver 5 on mine tho and i didnt notice much of a temp diffrence if any at all. I would have kept the stock stuff my self but i installed it wrong the first time soo lol. ran a stress test and was in the 90s so i knew i did something wrong.
