which one is better for a sff build? i have an apexi qpack2 (i know, bad for cooling) and i'm trying to decide between the two for sli.

i like the gtx570 reference cooler since it exhaust out but the gtx 560ti will probably have lower temperature and power requirements. which of the two would be suggested?

i was going to buy 2 gtx 580 3gb and asus maximus gene-z, but i think it will get too hot in a qpack 2. i'm probably better off spending that money and build a high performance machine in a regular size case and motherboard.

The GTX560Ti is a GF114, runs cooler and uses less power. That said, vapour chamber coolers are pretty good and I thinkg the 570's cooler might be better in your case
