Would it be OK to power a GTX 460 with one connector from a PCIe +12v rail and then another single +12v rail that has a molex to PCIe adapter? For both rails the connection would be to the video card.
 
OK, let me try this.

Would a single 25A rail with both PCIe connectors attached to a GTX 460 be enough to power it?
 
yes.

each 6pin connector uses up to 75W.

being powered from a 12V rail, 75W requires 6.5A.

so 2 requires 13A.

W = V * A
